    Switzerland Foreign Ministry called for the quick release of a kidnapped Swiss woman, in the troubled Darfur region where rebels have been fighting the government for more than a decade. According to north Darfur Provincial Governor, the woman, Margaret Sheinkel, who has been in in the country for 20 years running a center for undernourished children, was likely kidnapped for ransom from her home in the city of Al-Fashir. According to her neighbors in the El Daraja El Oula district of the city, a group of gunmen stormed her home and forced her into a waiting Land Cruiser at gunpoint, which sped to unknown destination.
