At 2.55pm local time a driver of a stolen brewing company truck deliberately plowed into the Ahlens department store in Drottninggatan central Stockholm, killing four people and wounding 15 others. Following the attack police closed off streets and evacuated the nearby central train station and other transit lines in the city as it searched for the attacker. A 39-year-old Uzbekistani national was reportedly arrested in connection with the attack. Police also confirmed that it was examining a device found in the driver's seat of the truck. The attack comes just a little over two weeks after a vehicular and stabbing attack in London.
