Dov (Dovik) Jehonatan

During his 30 years of service in the Israeli General Security Service (popularly known as the Shin-bet), Dov Jehonatan has held positions in the fields of counter-terrorism, counter-intelligence and physical security management. He began his career in the Israeli Defense Forces’ (IDF) counter-terror unit, operating against Palestinian terrorist groups across the Egyptian and Jordanian borders. Following his honorable service in the IDF, he was recruited to the Shin-bet.

These agents provided valuable information on various terrorist organizations, which helped thwart countless terrorist attacks on Israeli interests and citizens.

During his tenure Dovik also served as the Chief Security Officer (CSO) to all of Israel’s diplomatic missions, institutions and interests in the Southern part of Africa, including the Republic of South Africa.

His experience in aviation security stems from his work with El Al Israeli Airlines, serving as security manager in New York, New Jersey, and occasionally other major North American airports.

In addition to his practical experience, Dov holds Bachelor's and Masters Degrees in the areas of Strategic Studies and National Security, earned in Bar Ilan University and Haifa University respectively.

Kobi held several leadership positions during his assignments to El Al Israeli Airlines and the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He has worked in Israel’s embassies, consulates, and national flag carrier stations world-wide, taking charge of planning, recruiting, training and managing for their security operations.

Kobi’s security career began with his service in the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) where he attained the rank of Major. During his tenure in the IDF, Kobi has served in the Special Forces and as a company commander at the IDF Officer’s School.
